Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and Art History, 1st Class

Leah Lowri Rogers is a multidisciplinary artist, curator and teacher based in Liverpool. Rogers is, first and foremost a painter, exploring themes of femininity, folklore. This manifests in her unique angle on women’s roles within literature, religious texts and mythology which has led her to branch out into other medias to better demonstrate these concepts. We see this in her current explorations of video and performance once again engaging in her roots of experimenting with costume and masquerade.

Rogers uses art as a tool to explore the subjects to sensitive to tackle with words and is currently venturing back into her roots of eliciting self-confessional narratives within her work. This is particularly prevalent in her current area of focus exploring women unique relationship with control, and how their interactions with said control impacts how society views them.

For Leah art is the best thing we have, and she is passionate about pushing engagement. This has manifested through organising exhibitions for herself and other artists and teaching workshops for those who want to give it a go for themselves. She is about to embark on her PGCE in Secondary Art Education, following a summer in work for the Liverpool Art Fair

Leah is always open to enquires if you’re interested in purchasing art, booking a guided workshop or wanting to discuss exhibition ideas.
